Autumn! Truly a beautiful season. I never used to enjoy this season, but I think as I get older, I'm starting to appreciate it more and more. Roadside stands decorated with pumpkins and straw bales...Chrysanthemums, harvest time, thanksgiving, and obviously the beautiful changing trees. Lately my husband and I have been taking a lot of drives together. Going to antique stores, flea markets, and farmers markets. We take all the back roads of course, and we'll stop at really stunning, scenic spots.....Like yesterday when we were driving along Grey county road 1 along Georgian Bay. The Georgian Bluffs are so gorgeous....and what a peaceful drive.
I know that with fall comes winter shortly thereafter (and honestly winter is beautiful for about 6 weeks than i'm done with it) But Christmas ALWAYS and I mean always has me running around like a 5 year old so excited about everything that is christmas.
But for now, I'm just enjoying each crisp, foggy, sometimes frosty morning, and each early, colourful sunset. The diverse seasons are what makes this a perfect spot to live.

Waterfall Adventures
A couple weeks ago on a beautiful, hot, sunny day Mike, my kids, and myself took the day off. I had wanted to do the Grey county waterfall tour all summer long and finally we had a day to do it. It entails a vehicle, map and 7 waterfalls all in grey county, in a 150 km radius....spanning from durham, to owen sound and back and around through small touristy towns. Some of the falls were a major effort to get to, others were just a little hike down a path. But the day was really fun, and each waterfall brought a new adventure. The kids were excited each time we went back in the van to see where the tour brought us next.
The following shot is the last falls of the day..."hoggs falls" my favorite waterfall:)
my kids acting not so civil
trying to get a good shot. Climbing down to this waterfall was very slippery and tricky. I set my tripod up on some rocks and this shot below was summer having to go to the bathroom at which point I pointed to a nearby bush.
Too late for the shot. I slipped.
Mike trying to get the kids set up.
Me working it.
This is Eugenia falls. in a pretty little town and a very quick hike to it. Can't go down below.
This is walters falls. Actually i didn't get a picture of the falls cause it wasn't that great, but i really liked this mill.
This was the first falls we found...Inglis falls. A very long hike to get to cause we didn't want to pay to get into the conservation park, but well worth the hike.
Yay, I made it over the huge boulders.
Ian and Megan were all over the place, climbing rocks, jumping over rushing water. They're major adventurists like their mom and dad.
I was about 50 feet away when I took this shot....I zoomed in quite a bit. Ian's quite high here. He did some major climbing to get to this point.

Cynthia & Adam
This sneak peek is Loooong over due. So sorry Cynthia and Adam. I know it's only been a week, but I always like to post a few pics on here for my couples within in the first few days of the wedding....but this past week has just snuck by me. Catching up on two other weddings, throwing 2000 straw square bales into the barn, Girls started Gems, Ian started Cadets, Maggie has to go to waterloo twice a week for Sylvan, my praise and worship band started practising again,I'm trying to figure out my two new very advanced photography programs....which are amazing by the way.....and to top it all off, I took on a part time job, 3 days a week for a couple months helping my neighbor Mary out with her apple farm....Whew...typing it out just made it look like a lot more than I thought it was.....but lastnight....yay...and early this morning I got a few pictures done and I'm ready to post......Adam and cynthia had an amazing day for their wedding, and I truly enjoyed spending the day with them. Wait till you get a look at where the reception was....in a barn....and it was stunning. I loved it! Enjoy your peek you guys.....You are a very sweet couple, and I think it's pretty cool that you live practically in my back yard....so I'll be biking over for coffee some morning:)
